Empowering Indigenous Enterprise, One Transaction at a Time.

Wuu-rri is a national Indigenous social enterprise turning everyday transactions into lasting opportunities for Indigenous youth, entrepreneurs and community-led economic participation.

YAAMA - HELLO

Yaama is a Gamilaroi greeting meaning ‘hello’.

Wuu-rri is also a Gamilaroi word meaning ‘to give’.

Together, these words reflect the spirit of reciprocity, respect and community that underpins our work.

WHY WUU-RRI EXISTS

Established by the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, Wuu-rri operates a national social enterprise model that transforms commercial activity into sustainable funding for Indigenous entrepreneurship.

Indigenous economic empowerment is about more than income — it is about self-determination, leadership and the ability for communities to shape their own futures.

Through partnership and participation, Wuu-rri reinvests revenue into programs that strengthen capability, build youth leadership and support long-term economic participation across Australia.

HOW IT WORKS

Wuu-rri’s model is simple and scalable:

Vending Partnerships → Revenue Generated → Reinvestment → Indigenous Enterprise Impact

Revenue generated through vending partnerships is reinvested into initiatives including the Wuu-rri Microgrant Program and other capability-building programs.

Every transaction contributes to something bigger.

Wuu-rri

Wuu-rri respectfully acknowledges the Aboriginal Peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we operate and where our customers conduct their business. We recognise their deep and enduring connection to Country and their ongoing role as caretakers of these lands.

We pay tribute to our Ancestors, the first entrepreneurs, who established and sustained prosperous economies through their profound connection to the land, water and resources. We honour their legacy in our efforts to address the inequalities and economic losses experienced by our people due to the impacts of colonisation as we work towards a more equitable future.
