Giving back through Indigenous enterprise.
Wuu-rri is a national social enterprise established to create sustainable funding for Indigenous entrepreneurship, youth opportunity and community-led economic development.
What Does Wuu-rri Mean?
Wuu-rri is a Gamilaroi word meaning 'to give'.
This meaning sits at the heart of everything we do — creating sustainable pathways to Indigenous enterprise growth and economic participation.
Why Wuu-rri Exists
Indigenous economic empowerment is about more than business. It is about opportunity, confidence and the ability for communities to shape their own futures.
Wuu-rri was established to generate sustainable, independent funding that can be reinvested directly into Indigenous-led initiatives. By transforming everyday commercial activity into long-term impact, Wuu-rri strengthens youth opportunity, enterprise growth and community-led economic participation across Australia.

Our Mission
To become Australia’s leading social enterprise for Indigenous economic empowerment.
How Wuu-rri Works
Wuu-rri operates a scalable commercial model that converts everyday transactions into measurable community impact.
Revenue generated through Wuu-rri Vending is reinvested into programs that support Indigenous entrepreneurship and youth leadership, including the Wuu-rri Microgrant Program and other capability-building initiatives.
This ensures commercial activity directly contributes to sustainable economic participation and community benefit.
Relationship with the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce
Wuu-rri is a social enterprise of the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (NSWICC).
Established in 2006, NSWICC is the peak body for Indigenous business in New South Wales, supporting Indigenous people to establish, operate and grow successful businesses. Wuu-rri was created by NSWICC as a sustainable funding initiative that strengthens Indigenous entrepreneurship and business capability nationally.

Wuu-rri is guided by strong governance and a commitment to transparency, accountability and cultural integrity.
Programs delivered through Wuu-rri are designed to ensure funding is reinvested responsibly, aligned with community benefit and delivered in partnership with trusted organisations and stakeholders.

Artwork and Cultural Acknowledgement
Wuu-rri vending machines feature artwork created by Charmaine and Jason Mumbulla of Mumbulla Creative.
The artwork reflects the land and stories of New South Wales, where Wuu-rri was first established, and represents key themes of regionality, trade and reciprocity. This artwork symbolises the connection between commerce, culture and community that underpins Wuu-rri’s approach.
Looking Ahead
As Wuu-rri continues to grow nationally, our focus remains on strengthening Indigenous enterprise, supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and creating lasting pathways for economic self-determination.
Every partnership, program and transaction contributes to this shared purpose.
