WUU-RRI MICROGRANTS
Supporting Indigenous youth entrepreneurs to turn ideas into action.

The Wuu-rri Microgrant Program provides grants of up to $5,000 to support Indigenous youth entrepreneurs and organisations working with Indigenous youth. Funding is designed to remove barriers, support early-stage ideas and strengthen community-led economic development.
Wuu-rri Microgrants are grounded in community benefit, cultural integrity and practical impact.
What are Wuu-rri Microgrants?
Wuu-rri Microgrants provide practical, accessible funding for Indigenous-led ideas and initiatives.

Applications are open year-round, with grants awarded based on impact, feasibility and alignment with the purpose of the program.

How Much Funding Is Available
Applicants may apply for funding of up to $5,000 per initiative.
Wuu-rri aims to award approximately two to three microgrants per quarter, subject to available funding and application quality.
How the Microgrants Are Funded
The Wuu-rri Microgrant Program is funded through Wuu-rri Vending.

A portion of every purchase from Wuu-rri vending machines placed with host organisations across Australia is reinvested into Indigenous entrepreneurship initiatives, including these microgrants.

Every vending machine. Every purchase. Every partnership. Contributes to creating new opportunities for Indigenous youth.
Applying for a Wuu-rri Microgrant
The application process is designed to be simple and accessible.

How applications are assessed
Applications are assessed against key criteria, including:
-
Innovation and originality
-
Feasibility and planning
-
Market potential or community demand
-
Social impact
-
Cultural impact

Not all eligible applications will be funded.

What makes a strong application
Strong applications clearly explain the idea, how funding will be used and the impact the initiative will create. Applicants are encouraged to focus on achievable next steps rather than complex business language.
Reporting & Sharing Your Story
Successful applicants are required to provide a short outcome report, along with photos and/or videos.
This helps Wuu-rri demonstrate impact, share success stories and report back to Wuu-rri vending hosts whose contributions make the program possible.
How to Apply
Applications can be submitted online and are open year-round.
