Wuu-rri Q1 2026 Impact Update: Strong Start to the Year

  • 2 min read

Wuu-rri has kicked off 2026 with strong momentum, continuing to turn everyday transactions into meaningful outcomes for Indigenous businesses and communities across Australia.

In the first quarter of 2026, Wuu-rri Vending generated a total contribution of $48,805, reinforcing the growing impact of the program and the power of collective participation.

A Growing National Network

Wuu-rri’s national vending network continues to expand, with:

  • 157 active vending machines operating across Australia

  • 7 new vending installs in Q1

  • 4 new host organisations joining the program

Each new installation represents more than just convenience — it’s another opportunity to reinvest into Indigenous enterprise, youth pathways and community-led economic development.

Supporting Indigenous Business and Opportunity

This quarter saw Wuu-rri deliver tangible outcomes across multiple areas:

12 Indigenous Business Certifications Sponsored

Wuu-rri supported 12 Indigenous businesses to gain certification, helping them build credibility, access new markets, and strengthen their position within supply chains and procurement pathways.

Microgrant Program Now Open

Wuu-rri officially opened applications for the Wuu-rri Microgrant Program, providing accessible, early-stage funding for Indigenous entrepreneurs, leaders and changemakers.

This initiative supports:

  • New business ideas

  • Training and education

  • Cultural initiatives

  • Community-led projects

By reducing barriers and backing early-stage ideas, the program is helping build confidence, capability and long-term economic participation.

Connecting Community and Creating Pathways

Wuu-rri also continued to support community engagement and future opportunities:

  • NSWICC Member and Partner Networking Event supported, fostering collaboration between Indigenous suppliers and buying organisations

  • Participation in the Deadly Futures First Nations Career Expo, connecting with students and promoting pathways for the next generation of Indigenous entrepreneurs and leaders

Expanding Our Digital Presence

A key milestone this quarter was the launch of the Wuu-rri website, creating a central platform to showcase partnerships, programs and impact, while making it easier for organisations and communities to engage with Wuu-rri nationally.

Partner Spotlight: Domain

Wuu-rri is proud to highlight Domain, part of CoStar Group, as a valued vending host partner.

With Wuu-rri vending machines installed across two floors of their Sydney office, Domain demonstrates how everyday workplace environments can contribute to meaningful social impact.

“It’s a simple, everyday way for our people to feel connected to something positive and meaningful… each purchase — no matter how small — contributes to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship and community outcomes.”

Turning Everyday Purchases into Impact

This is the impact of Wuu-rri — where every purchase, every partnership, and every machine contributes to stronger pathways for Indigenous business and community outcomes.

As the program continues to grow nationally, Wuu-rri remains focused on creating real, measurable change through collaboration, reinvestment, and opportunity.
